To provide a forum for invited speakers on relevant topics of public interest with emphasis on West Contra Costa County.
For over 45 years the Forum has invited and heard experts discuss issues of importance to residents of Western Contra Costa County. Some examples from the past couple of years:
- West County Unified School District
- The County Grand Jury
- The County Mayors Conference
- Doctors Medical Center
- Eminent domain of mortgages in Richmond
- Supervisor John Gioia
- The Chevron fire
- BART General Manager Grace Crunican
- District Attorney Mark Peterson
- BART board Zakhary Mallett
- Police Chiefs of Richmond, San Pablo and El Cerrito
- “Obamacare”
- The residue after Redevelopment ended.
- Candidates for 5 West County cities, 4 Special Districts and some County offices.
The Forum meets socially at 11:45 am with lunch at 12:00 pm on the second Thursday of each month at La Strada, 2215 Church Lane (at San Pablo Ave.) San Pablo, California.
Annual dues are $30, and lunches are $25.
